AUBURN – Auburn University will award 1,197 academic degrees during its summer commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
Of the degrees Auburn will award, 821 are bachelor’s degrees, 282 are master’s degrees, 77 are doctorates, 13 are specialist degrees and four are professional degrees.
Auburn’s College of Liberal Arts will award the most degrees with 265, followed by the College of Business with 206 and the College of Human Sciences with 81. The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering will award 69 degrees; the College of Sciences and Mathematics, 63; the College of Architecture, Design and Construction, 51; the College of Education, 49; the College of Agriculture, 30; and the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, 7. The James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy will present two doctor of pharmacy degrees and the College of Veterinary Medicine will award two doctor of veterinary medicine degrees.

Auburn University has awarded more than 250,000 degrees since its founding as East Alabama Male College in 1856.
