AUBURN – Auburn University will award an estimated 1, 163 academic degrees during its summer commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. A live video stream of the event will be available on the university’s Web site (www.auburn.edu/graduationlive).
Of the degrees AU will award, 848 are bachelor’s degrees, 232 are master’s degrees, 76 are doctorates, four are specialist degrees and three are professional degrees.
AU’s College of Liberal Arts will award the most degrees with 273, followed by the College of Business with 204 and the College of Human Sciences with 86. The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering will award 69 degrees, the College of Sciences and Mathematics 69, the College of Education 63, the College of Architecture, Design and Construction 45, the College of Agriculture 37 and the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences two degrees. The James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy will present three doctor of pharmacy degrees.
Auburn University has awarded more than 210,000 degrees at its main campus since its founding as the East Alabama Male College in 1856.
