AUBURN – With the college football season just a month away, Auburn University has launched a comprehensive website aimed at giving fans the most up-to-date parking and traffic information for the Tigers’ home games. The site, www.auburn.edu/gameday, launched Monday, Aug. 2.
The Game Day 2010 site includes tailgating guidelines, important contacts and lodging information, and maps that will help fans find their way around campus.
“The Game Day website continues to be the best source of information for fans week to week,” said Mike Clardy, Auburn’s director of university communications. “With construction and other projects taking place on campus, we encourage everyone to visit the site before driving into town.”
The website features a special page on Auburn’s shuttle bus service, which has played a major role in getting fans to campus. More than 50 buses will be used every football Saturday.
“Last year our buses moved an average of 14,000 fans each game. Those who want to avoid parking and traffic headaches should consider taking advantage of our free shuttle system,” Clardy said.
Shuttle buses will again run to campus from three off-campus locations: Village Mall, Sam’s Club (Exit 57) and Tiger Town (Exit 58). Fans can also click a link on the website to view the location of their bus in real time through a web-enabled phone.
