Auburn University Marines to host Mud Run on campus this Saturday

AUBURN – The Marines of Auburn University will host the area’s second annual Amphibious Warrior Mud Run this Saturday, April 2 starting at Auburn University’s Facilities Division on Samford Avenue. This opportunity to be part of The Few, The Proud, The Muddy is open to the public.

The purpose of this event is to increase the involvement of Auburn Marines within the local Auburn community, build university and community camaraderie and increase awareness of the strong ties Auburn University has with the military community.

The run includes 4.2 miles of off-road trails, creeks, hills, obstacles and mud pits Team categories are available for those who don’t like leaving a buddy behind.

Auburn’s Marines will donate a portion of the funds raised in the Mud Run directly to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that raises awareness and enlists public aid for the needs of severely combat-injured service men and women while providing unique, direct programs and services.
