AU offers online professional certificates in exercise, health and nutrition

AUBURN – The Outreach Program Office of Auburn University has partnered with Educational Fitness Solutions Inc. to offer online professional certificates in various areas of health, fitness and nutrition.

The next series of these non-credit courses will begin in mid-March, with ongoing start dates, and are available in Nutrition for Optimal Health, Wellness, and Sports; Personal Fitness Training for Older Adults; Personal Fitness Training; Fitness Business Management; and Women’s Exercise Training and Wellness.

These Web-based courses provide interaction with faculty and instructors from colleges and universities, the allied health and medical field and the personal fitness training profession. They are designed to provide educational pathways and career opportunities to those in the emerging health and fitness industry; those in the allied health and medical field; and registered dietitians who want continuing educational units or credits.

Those in the community interested in up-to-date information on achieving and maintaining health and fitness could also benefit from the courses.

The certificate programs are designed with the flexibility to fit into busy schedules, and can be completed within five months or in up to two years.
