‘All in for Toomer’s Trees’ event rescheduled, April 29 event now to benefit severe weather victims

AUBURN – In the wake of yesterday’s severe weather, Auburn University and Tiger Dining have decided to reschedule the Arbor Day benefit, “All in for Toomer’s Trees,” to fall semester.

However, an event will take place on April 29, with all proceeds now to benefit the many families who have been affected by the severe weather. The event will still occur on the lawn at Samford Hall, 12-4 p.m.

At 12:30 p.m., guests will be welcomed by Auburn University Vice President of Student Affairs Ainsley Carry; Vice President of Alumni Affairs Deborah Shaw; and others.

A jambalaya lunch will be offered for $5 and guests may picnic on the lawn. Only cash donations will be accepted for the lunch.

The American Red Cross, East Alabama Chapter, will be available for those wishing to donate additional funds.
