Auburn University’s Discover Auburn lecture series to explore Confederate home front

AUBURN – Keith Hebert of the University of West Georgia will explore life on the Confederate home front during the late Civil War in the next Discover Auburn Lecture Series program, “The Bottomless Pit of Hell: the Confederate Home Front in Bartow County, Georgia 1864-1865.”

The lecture will take place Thursday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. in the Special Collections and Archives Department on the ground floor of Auburn University’s Ralph Brown Draughon Library. A reception will follow.
