Auburn University holding emergency preparedness exercise Dec. 15

AUBURN – Auburn University will hold an emergency preparedness training exercise Thursday, Dec. 15, from 8 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. to provide university personnel and local first-responders practice dealing with a campus emergency or disaster.

Perimeters will be set up around the area of Simms Road on the east side of the College of Veterinary Medicine for an exercise that will include role playing and emergency response to a hazardous materials incident by public safety agencies.

Participating agencies will include Auburn University, Auburn Fire Division, Auburn Police Division, Lee County Emergency Management Agency, Auburn University Medical Clinic and East Alabama Emergency Medical Services.
