Auburn’s fall pep rallies and concerts combined for ‘Bodda Getta Bash’ event Oct. 5

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – Auburn University’s Student Government Association and University Program Council have joined forces to create a new fall pep rally and concert event for the Auburn community – “Bodda Getta Bash.”

The organizations have combined two annual traditions, SGA pep rallies and UPC fall concerts, into one big free public event.

The Bash will take place Oct. 5 at Graves Amphitheatre beginning with a pep rally at 6 p.m. Students and the Auburn community are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy music, courtesy of WEGL radio.

The pep rally will feature Aubie, Tiger Paws, AU Rhythm, cheerleaders and a surprise guest speaker. Following the pep rally, the Trotline band will be featured in concert. The event will also feature a Text-To-Win contest with a phone giveaway, courtesy of Verizon Wireless.

“We are so excited to be a part of this event,” said Marissa Bean, assistant director of traditions for SGA. “It’s the first year [Bodda Getta Bash] has ever been done and it’s amazing what you can accomplish when you join forces with another organization and create something that will hopefully become bigger than all of us.”
