Auburn University’s TigerFit program offers health screenings for campus and local community

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – Auburn University’s TigerFit program is offering health and fitness screenings for the Auburn-Opelika community.

The program is housed in the Auburn University School of Kinesiology’s new building located at 301 Wire Road on the Auburn campus. Appointments for the assessments are available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. from now through the Thanksgiving holiday.

The 90-minute sessions, conducted in the new kinesiology facility, include resting and exercise blood pressure; cholesterol and blood glucose screening; pulmonary function testing; body composition and bone density measurements; musculoskeletal evaluation and graded tests for aerobic fitness, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance; and balance. All participants receive an individualized report with the results and exercise prescription.
