AUBURN UNIVERSITY — If you want tailgating done right, there’s now an app for that. Auburn University’s Food Systems Institute has created a multimedia app called AU Tailgate Times for iPhones and iPads.

The app, which can be downloaded at the iTunes store or on the Food Systems Institute website, brings together a wide range of information about the tradition of tailgating, with the focus on food and fun.

Food Entrepreneur Conference to feature Auburn University experts on operating food businesses

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – An upcoming conference in Prattville will provide expert tips and guidance for current and prospective entrepreneurs in all aspects of the food business.

The second annual Food Entrepreneur Conference, Feb. 27-28 at the Prattville Marriott, is coordinated by the Auburn University Food Systems Institute and will include experts from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, the Auburn Fisheries Business Institute and the Small Business Development Center speaking on topics ranging from writing a business plan and finding financing to product marketing and navigating a maze of regulations.

Auburn’s new multimedia e-book a unique resource for Thanksgiving holidays

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – The Auburn University Food Systems Institute has created a one-of-a-kind multimedia e-book that brings together a wide range of information about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, from its history to food preparation and safety.

“Our purpose with this free e-book is to create a comprehensive resource for you to enjoy, learn and use,” said Pat Curtis, institute director. “When we say ‘e-book,’ we’re talking about a fun, multimedia presentation that you’ll want to keep and refer to over and over again.”
