AUBURN – Auburn University’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host the combined southeast and southwest regional meetings of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers Nov. 11 and 12.
The goals of the meeting include fostering communication and scientific interaction between people of diverse backgrounds and building a community of professional support. A variety of age groups and experience levels will be present at the meeting. Participants will have an opportunity to interact with representatives of industrial and governmental institutions and to explore further educational opportunities. Around 100 participants will attend, including many from historically black colleges and universities in the region.
