AUBURN – Students from Auburn University’s Design-Build Masters Program have researched, designed and constructed a replica of a slave cabin that they will install Nov. 1 at Westville, a living history museum in Lumpkin, Ga. portraying life in the preindustrial South of 1850.
Saturday’s installation is in conjunction with Westville’s annual week-long Fall Festival. The local community will participate with the Auburn students in a one day on-site community build beginning at about 8 a.m. eastern time.
AUBURN – Students from Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction will light up the courtyard of Dudley Hall with the glow of more than 400 jack-o-lanterns at the 20th annual Pumpkin Carve on Halloween, Oct. 31.
The event, sponsored by the Auburn University chapter of American Institute of Architecture Students, will begin at 9 a.m. with the carving of the pumpkins and will last throughout the day. Uncarved pumpkins will be on sale for $4 beginning at 9 a.m.
