Auburn’s enrollment, freshman class are university’s largest ever

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – Auburn University has reached its highest enrollment and its largest freshman class ever this fall, based on numbers reported this week by the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.

An enrollment of 25, 912 is 1, 048 more students than in fall 2013. The new freshman class accounts for 4,592 students, 866 more than last fall.

Auburn University posts record enrollment, highest freshman ACT scores

AUBURN – Auburn University has achieved its highest enrollment in history this fall, and its freshman class boasts the top ACT score of any previous class, according to numbers released today by Auburn’s Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.

Enrollment is 25,469 among all student groups – undergraduates, graduate students and those enrolled in professional schools – up from 25,078 in fall 2010. Auburn has students from all 50 states and from 79 foreign countries.

New freshman enrollment consists of 4,202 students, just two fewer that last year’s record class. The class compiled an average score of 27.2 on the ACT college entrance exam, outpacing last year’s then-record of 26.9. They also earned an average high school grade point average of 3.81, up from 3.79 last year.

Auburn University enrolls record number of National Merit Scholars

AUBURN – Auburn University more than doubled its number of newly enrolled National Merit Scholars this year, the university’s Office of Enrollment Services announced today.

Auburn enrolled 133 new scholars this summer and fall, which more than doubles last year’s number of 64. In the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s 2009 annual report, only six public institutions nationally enrolled more than 133 scholars. The organization will release its 2010 annual report in January.

Enrollment is 25,078 among all student groups – undergraduates, graduate students and those enrolled in professional schools – which is up from 24,602 in fall 2009. Auburn has students from all 50 states and from 81 foreign countries.

Auburn University posts highest enrollment and freshman ACT scores to date

AUBURN – Auburn University has achieved its highest enrollment in history this fall, and its freshman class boasts the top ACT score of any previous class, according to numbers released today by Auburn’s Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.

Enrollment is 24,602 among all students groups – undergraduates, graduate students and those enrolled in professional schools – which is up from 24,530 in fall 2008.

New freshman enrollment consists of 3,918 students, who compiled an average score of 26.2 on the ACT college entrance exam, outpacing last year’s then-record of 25.9.

This year 477 new minority students are enrolled, up 15 percent from last year’s 416, a number which includes all students of color. The number of new transfer students also increased, with 1,377 enrolled as compared to last fall’s 1,305.
