Auburn University honors 16 faculty members with annual awards

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – Sixteen Auburn University faculty members are being recognized for outstanding academic achievement with the 2013 Faculty Awards.

The awards are presented by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Timothy Boosinger and are the highest honors the university gives to faculty. The recipients will be honored at a ceremony later this month.

Auburn University honors faculty in awards ceremony

AUBURN UNIVERSITY – Auburn University held its seventh annual Faculty Awards Celebrating Excellence ceremony Tuesday at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.

The awards presented at the ceremony are the highest honors the university gives to faculty and this year honored the outstanding academic achievements of 21 faculty members. Event photos and videos can be found at http://ocm.auburn.edu/faculty_awards.

Auburn University Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Timothy Boosinger hosted the event and Ric Smith of the Department of Communication and Journalism was master of ceremonies. Bob Dumas, Auburn University Board of Trustees member, gave congratulations and special remarks.

Auburn University to honor faculty in awards ceremony Oct. 27

AUBURN – Auburn University will hold its fourth annual Faculty Awards Celebrating Excellence Ceremony Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. A provost’s reception will follow.

The awards presented at this ceremony are the highest honors the university gives to faculty and this year will honor the outstanding academic achievements of 16 faculty members.

Auburn University Provost Mary Ellen Mazey will host the event and Lawrence Wit, associate dean and professor of biological sciences in the College of Sciences and Mathematics, will be master of ceremonies. Robert Lowder, Auburn University Board of Trustees member, will give congratulations and special remarks.
