Auburn University graduation on Monday to be final ceremony in coliseum

AUBURN – Auburn University will award 1,207 academic degrees during its summer graduation ceremony Monday, Aug. 9, in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The ceremony will be the final official function in the coliseum, which is being replaced with a new facility.

At the 2 p.m. ceremony, the university will award 834 bachelor’s degrees, 291 master’s degrees, 69 doctorates, 13 specialist degrees and one professional degree. The College of Liberal Arts will award the most degrees with 289, followed by the College of Business with 172 and the College of Human Sciences with 97. The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering will award 81 degrees; College of Architecture, Design and Construction, 60; College of Education, 49; College of Sciences and Mathematics, 44; College of Agriculture, 28; School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, 12; and the Office of the Provost, one degree in interdisciplinary university studies. The James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy will present one doctor of pharmacy degree.

Apple chief operating officer to speak at Auburn University commencement May 14

AUBURN – Auburn University alumnus Tim Cook, chief operating officer for Apple Inc., will deliver the commencement address at Auburn’s spring ceremonies on Friday, May 14.

The university will award approximately 2,967 degrees at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ceremonies at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. Cook, a native of Robertsdale and a 1982 industrial engineering graduate of Auburn, will speak at both ceremonies.

Auburn to award 1,509 degrees at fall graduation

AUBURN – Auburn University will award 1,509 academic degrees during its fall graduation ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The ceremony can be viewed live through the university’s Web site at www.auburn.edu/graduationlive. The broadcast begins at 1:45 p.m. (CST).

Of the degrees Auburn will award, 1,169 are bachelor’s degrees, 266 are master’s degrees, 69 are doctorates, four are specialist degrees and one is a professional degree.

Auburn to award 1,197 degrees at summer commencement

AUBURN – Auburn University will award 1,197 academic degrees during its summer commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.

Of the degrees Auburn will award, 821 are bachelor’s degrees, 282 are master’s degrees, 77 are doctorates, 13 are specialist degrees and four are professional degrees.

Auburn football legend Bo Jackson to speak at graduation

AUBURN – Vincent Edward “Bo” Jackson, Auburn University’s second Heisman Trophy winner and 1995 Auburn graduate, will deliver the commencement address to this year’s Auburn graduates at spring ceremonies May 9.

Auburn will award an estimated 2,823 degrees during two ceremonies in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. Of those degrees, 2,164 are bachelor’s degrees, 357 are master’s degrees, 222 are professional degrees, five are specialist degrees and 75 are doctorates. A live video stream of the events will be available on the university’s Web site.

Auburn University to award 1,442 degrees at fall graduation

AUBURN – Auburn University will award an estimated 1, 442 academic degrees at its fall graduation ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.

Of those degrees, 1,101 are bachelor’s degrees, 266 are master’s degrees, 73 are doctorates and two are specialist degrees.
