AUBURN UNIVERSITY – More than 25 companies representing the hotel, restaurant and tourism industries will attend the 24th annual Hospitality Career and Internship Fair Thursday, Nov. 8, at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.
“This is an opportunity for our students interested in careers in hotel, restaurant and tourism to meet industry representatives,” said David Martin, an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Hospitality Management in Auburn University’s College of Human Sciences.
AUBURN – Students in Auburn University’s hotel and restaurant management program will put into practice what they’ve learned in the classroom when they host The Hospitality Gala on May 2 at The Hotel at Auburn University.
This year’s event, which benefits educational initiatives of the hotel and restaurant management program, is titled “An International Affair” and will feature the cuisine of three award-winning international chefs as well as silent and live auctions.
AUBURN – The Auburn Alumni Association’s pre-game hospitality tent will be open at a new location for Auburn alumni and football fans. Relocated to the lawn of Auburn’s Wallace Center at 210 South Donahue Dr., the tent will be open Aug. 30 from 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. CDT. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. for Saturday’s opening game in Jordan-Hare Stadium against the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
The alumni hospitality tent will have food, a band, a big-screen TV, giveaways, children’s face-painting, appearances by Auburn’s mascot, Aubie, and the university marching band.
