AUBURN UNIVERSITY – Following a national search, Auburn University President Jay Gogue has selected Timothy Boosinger as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Boosinger’s appointment was approved by the Auburn Board of Trustees at its June 22 meeting.
Boosinger, who has served as interim provost at Auburn since June 2011, will continue to oversee the academic programming for twelve colleges and is responsible for fostering the advancement of the university’s strategic plan. He has an extensive background in teaching, research and administration, serving as dean of Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine from 1995-2011.
AUBURN – Auburn University Provost Mary Ellen Mazey has named Constance Relihan the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies, effective June 1.
Relihan will collaborate with associate deans, faculty, academic support units and other administrators and staff to oversee and manage undergraduate degree programs to ensure consistent implementation of academic policies. Working with these groups, she will promote undergraduate student success and retention by overseeing academic advising, maintaining course inventory and providing support for initiatives related to undergraduate education.
AUBURN – Professor Emmett Winn of the College of Liberal Arts has been named Auburn University’s interim associate provost, as announced today by Mary Ellen Mazey, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
“Dr. Winn brings experience as a former Auburn student, faculty member and administrator to the position of interim associate provost,” Mazey said. “He will assist me tremendously as we collaborate with the students, faculty and staff to implement Auburn University’s Strategic Plan.” Continue reading
AUBURN – After a national search, Auburn University President Jay Gogue has announced that Mary Ellen Mazey is the university’s choice for Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. She was approved by the Auburn Board of Trustees at its Jan. 29 meeting.
Mazey has an extensive background in teaching and administration, most recently as dean of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University.
“Dr. Mazey brings to Auburn a vision and experience in higher education administration that will serve the university well in the coming years,” said Gogue. “Her expertise in the area of strategic planning will help us achieve the ambitious goals we have laid out for our future.”
John M. Mason
– After a national search, Auburn University President Jay Gogue today announced that John M. Mason has been named Associate Provost and Vice President for Research.
Mason, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, Research and Outreach in the College of Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, has an extensive background in teaching, research, consultation and administrative leadership, and also serves as the director of the Thomas D. Larson Pennsylvania Transportation Institute and executive director of the Mid-Atlantic Universities Transportation Center.
