Dauphin Island marine scientist to address Auburn’s student-led ecology and evolution conference

AUBURN – Auburn University will host the eighth annual Southeastern Ecology and Evolution Conference, March 25-27. The conference is a professional meeting organized by students for early-career researchers in ecology, evolution and related fields with nearly 200 students from around the United States attending.

Monty Graham, Dauphin Island’s senior marine scientist, was selected to give the keynote address because of his extensive knowledge of the Gulf Coast as well as his scientific research efforts following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Graham’s talk will be in Auburn’s Sciences Center auditorium Friday, March 25 at 6 p.m. and is open to the public; registration is required to attend the remainder of the conference.
