Auburn moves up, ranks among Top 50 public universities for 18th consecutive year in U.S. News survey

AUBURN – Auburn University is ranked 38th among public universities nationwide, up from 39th last year, according to an annual survey released by U.S. News & World Report today. The ranking marks the 18th consecutive year the magazine has ranked Auburn among the nation’s top 50 public universities.

Auburn ranked 85th nationally among both public and private schools, up from 88th in 2009. Its College of Business undergraduate program ranked 24th among public schools and 42nd in the nation, up from 57th. The undergraduate program of Auburn’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering ranked 56th nationally overall, up from 64th last year, and 32nd among public universities that offer doctoral programs in engineering.

Auburn moves up, ranks among Top 50 public universities for 17th consecutive year in U.S. News survey

AUBURN – Auburn University is ranked 39th among public universities nationwide, according to an annual survey released by U.S. News & World Report today. The ranking marks the 17th consecutive year the magazine has ranked Auburn among the nation’s top 50 public universities.

Auburn ranked 20th among land-grant institutions and 88th in the nation among both public and private schools.

The undergraduate program of Auburn’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is ranked 64th nationally overall and 36th among public universities that offer doctoral programs in engineering. Rankings of other programs are released at various times during the year by U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News cites Auburn as a top place to live

U.S. News and World Report magazine has caught on to what Auburn residents have known for a long time–that it is a great place to live, attend school and raise a family. The magazine selected the city of Auburn as a top 10 choice among American cities. The rankings recognize Auburn University as a major contributor to the quality of life of city residents.
